About the ROC

The ROC is the high school/junior high ministry of The Bible Church of Little Rock. We are passionate about knowing Christ, making Him known through the Gospel, and about “glorifying God through our changed lives.”

Our Motto—“We exist to glorify God through our changed lives.”

Our Purpose—“Our purpose is to call students to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, and to teach them and model for them how to live lives pleasing to God.”

God has redeemed us in Christ to praise His name and to proclaim His glory to the world - “You were redeemed…with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ” (1 Peter 1:18a-19).

About our Pastor

GEORGE LAWSON JR joined the pastoral staff of BCLR in 2010 and oversees our Sr. and Jr. High Student Ministries. He received his B.A. from Washington Bible College in 2006 and graduated with an M. Div. from the Master’s Seminary in 2010. He began preaching in 2001 and served as the Outreach Coordinator for Hope Bible Church in Columbia MD. The Lord graciously confronted George’s hypocrisy and hope in false religion at the age of 19. Forsaking his sin and considering all things as loss, he trusted solely in Christ, not wanting a righteousness of his own derived from the law, but the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith. His heart was set free from the love of pleasure and self and set on fire with a passion for Christ and the desire to see lives transformed by the word of God, which performs its work in those who believe. George and his wife, Jennifer, have the joy of raising three children and enjoy reading, swimming, biking, and playing sports.

SCATTER Evangelism Conference
July 15-17th
The conference will begin on Friday evening and end on Sunday Morning. Speakers will be Jesse Johnson and Jim Stitzinger. The conference will be free of charge.
